Seventeen-year-old Anastasia Lockhart has never led an easy life, but when she starts getting into serious trouble, she’s sent to live with her grandparents in Cedar Falls. The small, picturesque town hasn’t changed since she visited four years ago, with one exception – the presence of a handsome, mysterious boy named Frost. Despite warnings from her grandparents and friends to stay away from Frost, Anastasia can’t deny their attraction, and the more time they spend together, the deeper in love they fall. Unfortunately, Frost has a secret that is beyond Anastasia’s wildest imagination, and she soon finds herself in the midst of a supernatural legend that has haunted Cedar Falls for years.

Can Anastasia and Frost’s love really overcome anything, or are their fates much darker?

Heather Beck did a great job writing this novel! She always left me in suspense throughout the entire book, including the ending. There are many questions left to be answered and I really hope she writes a sequel. She had me craving for more of Cedar Falls. And not just more of the romance between Anastasia and Frost (I love their names, by the way), but about all the characters and the town. It was so unique and different. I could picture all the scenes perfectly. I love how it had its typical high school cliques and clichés…there are other stuff I can’t share but wow, yes, this was a good book. It played with my emotions. Gosh, I was getting so mad at Kate and I love how Anastasia wasn’t so stupid throughout the book like some main female characters...she was a tough cookie and I like that about her. [As for Frost], I like this guy. He had that mysterious thing going on, yet he acted shy! He was different from some of the YA boyfriends. Something new and fresh. I didn’t want to put this book down. 5+ stars and recommended! - Check my Books

YA isn't usually for me at 65 years of age, but I am so glad I didn't pass [Frostbitten] up. It was a well written story with a good plot. I loved the main characters of Frost and Anastasia. Two lost souls that have a hard time with the world for their own different reasons. They come together and help each other survive. A delightful YA paranormal love story with some sadness, friendship, betrayal and learning that family isn't always the enemy. The side characters are interesting and the book ended pretty much in a good place but leads you into another story. 5 stars! - Pam's Reviews

Frostbitten is a fun, new, paranormal, young adult/teen read. [It’s] a coming of age story [where] Anastasia struggles with prejudices, bullies, falling in love, friendship and relationships with adults/family. I enjoyed this story and found it to be a great start to what could be a marvelous series. Frostbitten was a fascinating summer romance read. - Tome Tender Book Blog

Frostbitten is a fun, fast-moving YA novel. The author has created an interesting world in a small Canadian town with a history of werewolves. The main character is believable, and the plot contains some interesting twists. A well-written book. - A Word at a Time

I'm almost always a fan of supernatural lore, and I definitely love it in my fiction. When it comes to a good story with a paranormal twist, Frostbitten doesn't disappoint. It has action, romance, suspense, and a pacing that allows readers to power through the novel in a couple of sittings. I enjoyed the reading experience.

Werewolves aren't exactly new to paranormal fiction. They've been done before in novels and they will likely be done again. But Beck had slightly different twists on the werewolves that still made the read fresh and enjoyable, without completely changing everything originally included in popular lore. Although - being a fangirl of myths and lore - it would've been nice to learn a bit more about the back story, I definitely respected the paced delivery of information. Whenever giving a history, there's a fine line between enriching the story and dulling it, and I thought Beck gave all the necessary information without losing the interest of the reader.

Frost was absolutely compelling. (The name seems so obvious, yet I love it). He had layers to him. Although he could be dangerous when he lost himself, I loved how shy and unsure of himself he was at points. It wasn't the kind of whiny insecurities that some teen characters seem to have, but a very realistic attitude that would pop up in between humor, intensity, and confidence. He had so much going for him, and I enjoyed reading more about this character. (And when have I refused a swoony love interest?)

Almost as much as I adored Frost as a character, I liked the relationship between him and Anastasia. Their attraction happened rather quickly, but I didn't mind. (It seems that a lot of reviews shout "insta-love" way too quickly. It's realistic that sometimes, people feel a connection and really hit it off.) I just wish I saw more of a progression in their relationship. Still, I absolutely loved what I did see, and I thought they worked so well together.

Frostbitten is an excellent start to a series, and I'm eager to read more. There were a lot of things I enjoyed about the book (besides Frost) and absolutely loved the tone and resulting mood. If you're a fan of paranormal, romance, good writing, action, and/or swoony boys, it's definitely worth a look. - The YA Lit Chick

This book had me completely captivated from just reading the first couple of pages. Heather Beck has a way of bringing the story to life, while including important life lessons.

The female lead is a strong young woman who has seemingly lost her way. After trying to conform in her hometown, she is shipped to her grandparents’ house. One too many mistakes cloud her past and she is looking for a fresh start, but she's relocated to a small town and small towns can be worse than a big city.

The male lead is a great definition of an alpha male. He exudes power, but in a comforting way. Being different, he is treated poorly by all. People not understanding him and being scared of what he may do, all because of his origin and looks. The only person who sees past all of that is the female lead.

A story that will draw you in, Frostbitten is a book that should be read and appreciated for the fine work of art it is. I really enjoyed the story line and the life lessons that were throughout the book. Being different is never a crime and it was nice to see that portrayed instead of hinted upon. A fresh story that I hope continues as it is left with a bit of a cliff hanger. 5 stars! - Crazy Beautiful Reviews

Heather Beck’s young adult paranormal romance is a well-written and fast-paced read. The characters are well developed and have strong voices. She does not shy [away] from teenage issues such as bullying, alienation, teenage romance, and self-esteem/self-worth.  The reader will cheer for Anastasia and Frost even when they don’t believe in themselves. The reader will discover that their story is not over. Will Anastasia survive a Frost bite? Looking forward to book two. 4 stars! - Keep Calm and Novel On

Heather Beck’s Frostbitten is an entertaining addition to the YA werewolf paranormal romance canon. The story was fast-paced, and the characters are differentiated. Beck’s story keeps true to the rules popular culture tells us must govern this supernatural being, which is somewhat comforting, especially for a newbie to the genre like me. Frostbitten is a captivating read. 4 stars! - Britbear's Book Reviews

The cover drew me in. It is one that gives you enough hints and ideas about the story to be useful but not give anything away.

I was pretty quick getting into the story and became invested in the characters. Anastasia is a girl who is dealing with some issues and trying to fit in and start over, but [she] is having trouble letting go and it is made harder by her peers. It's easy to see the conundrum she's in and you want to know what's happening to her during it.

Frost - yes, his name is a bit different but I dig it and after I learned how he got his name, it made it even better - is both shy and confident. He has his own secrets he's dealing with, but [he] also tries to make the most of what he’s been dealt.

One thing with many books in this genre that seems to put some people off is the romance or connection between characters coming too quickly and seeming unfounded or rushed. While Anastasia and Frost have a connection, it was built up more solidly than many I see. Who isn't going to be interested in a handsome boy who she's told to stay away from? They meet quickly and have a connection but [it] builds easily from there at a pace I found enjoyable.

There are more relationships in the series with family, friends, and members of the small town. There is a small town vibe where everyone knows everything about you and your family and [they] pretty much have their minds made up about you before they meet you. Been there, done that, so it rang true. Oh and I have to mention Chloe, [Anastasia’s] childhood friend...[she] could easily be one of my close friends.

Well, if it hasn’t been clear, I really enjoyed the book and can’t wait to read the next one. [Frostbitten] leaves you at a point where there is clearly more story to tell and I can’t wait. 5 stars! - Functioning Insanity

Frostbitten was a great book [with a great] storyline. I love the cover, which I think is a perfect fit.

I felt kind of bad for Anastasia all throughout the book, [because] if it's not one thing, it's another. I enjoyed her character [as] she is strong, smart and pretty. I also enjoyed all the other characters and I liked that [the reader] gets to know a little about their history.

Frostbitten has everything I like in a book: romance, action, suspense, and mystery. I give it 4 stars, and I look forward to reading more by this author. - Book Talk Reviews

Frostbitten is a well written book. What really makes Frostbitten a good book is Heather’s writing. I can’t stress enough on how much I liked it. It’s a lovely book that has all the elements a paranormal book should have. Right from the beautiful and stubborn young girl to a gorgeous and loyal werewolf, from a caring BFF to a rich and jealous bitch (who makes Anastasia’s life a living hell!) The mystery involved is also quite good. I really liked Cedar Falls and I’d love to get answers about its past in the next instalment. - The Reading Bud

[Frostbitten] seems to get better and better by the chapter, and before I knew it, I was drawn into the story and I had to see how it [would end]. I must admit that while I enjoy reading young adult books, I am sometimes hesitant to read paranormal books within the genre. It’s not that I haven’t read these types of books, or that I haven’t immensely enjoyed [them], it’s just that I naturally don’t lean towards them.  After reading Frostbitten by Heather Beck, I’m thinking I should change that inclination.

Frostbitten is a paranormal young adult novel that focuses in on Anastasia Lockhart as she goes to live with her grandparents in the quaint little town of Cedar Falls. But soon Anastasia finds that not everything is as quaint as it appears in this sleepy little town. There are some dark mysteries running rampant through this town, and Anastasia soon finds herself immersed in them.

Wonderfully balanced with the mystery surrounding the town of Cedar Falls is the development of Anastasia’s relationship with a mysterious boy named Frost. These two have an instant bond and connection, and their bonds only grow throughout this story. Frostbitten follows Anastasia as she begins to fall into all of her feelings for Frost, while trying to discover the answers to the many questions surrounding the supernatural events taking place in Cedar Falls.

Heather Beck does a phenomenal job of crafting a story that just flows from the page. Her writing is beautiful, and the level of description you read in this book will have you picturing every single glorious detail in your head.

The mythology comes into this story in such a remarkable way that it’s very easy to understand, and it blends wonderfully with every other aspect of the book. It also adds a seriously engaging and exciting factor that sets the story apart from other YA books.

Frost is kind of an enigma that you continue to try to figure out throughout. While reading, you slowly chip away at his hard exterior to find out who he truly is. His character was just magnificent to read, and with each new piece of the puzzle that I discovered about him, I fell more in love with his character. He’s also terribly sweet, which just melted my heart. Anastasia is a very strong female character, which I immediately grasped and adored. She is thrown a lot of wrenches in a lot of ways, but through it all she keeps standing up and pushing through. Even when you expect her to give in, she doesn’t. She’s extremely resilient, and that was something that was truly fresh to read.

This book is paced very well, and the events make it a true page turner. The events add flames to the fire that is this book, and will keep you engaged from beginning to end. That excitement also just makes it fun to read. The love story of Frost and Anastasia is also fantastic, and it has a serious build over the book. It feels very natural from beginning to end, and flows very well over the page. It also balanced extremely well with the other events taking place in the book. You could focus in on it, but also enjoy all the other aspects of the book that in turn affected their love story. It just worked.

I loved that this was a YA book. I love YA books. The young characters created in this book are all extremely authentic in the emotions and feelings they have. Even the actions they take are wholly real. Heather Beck does a wonderful job of capturing these characters and making them come alive on the page.

The level of suspense just builds and builds in this book. I was constantly wondering where in the world the story would go, and what would happen next, which made this book all the more engaging. That suspense builds in so many ways that you will have to know how this all works out. (It also does a fabulous job of setting up future stories….)

I also just loved getting to read the different and complicated relationships in this book. You have Frost and Anastasia, Anastasia and her grandparents, and even Anastasia and her classmates. These dynamic relationships add more to this story, and add an easily relatable factor to what you’re reading.

Frostbitten was a truly fantastic book to read. It had so many aspects that I truly enjoy and thrive on when I read. It was engaging as hell. It had well and thoughtfully developed characters with some spunk. It had a storyline that was fresh to read, and that just continued to get better as I read. It also had that something extra that just made it a truly enjoyable book.

While I may not be the most well versed in books with paranormal and supernatural elements, I have to say that I think this one hit it out the park in that respect. 4.5 Wonderful Stars! - The Never Ending Book Basket

I loved this book!

I liked how the author pointed out the clichés of high school and how well-developed each character was, shaping the story into something incredible. I must say, though, that there were the usual themes a YA novel uses, but it did not ruin this novel at all. It was fun, enjoyable and a lovely summer read and it will be going on to my re-read shelf no doubt about that! Not only was the book nicely flowing, not too fast nor too slow…the ending was amazing! Just as it was going in one direction the author took me by complete surprise and threw a cliffhanger into the story. Gosh…I can’t wait for the next book to come out - that’s right Miss Beck, sit down and get writing!

The characters are also something! I love Anastasia’s decision-making skills. She grew up a lot throughout the whole novel. Her stubbornness and courage was amazing….Loved it! But I also loved her fragile side and how much love she has for Frost.

FROST! Oh my gosh, what a swoon-worthy guy Heather has created. How could you not like this guy - someone please tell me! He was portrayed very human-like. He’s gentle, sweet, caring, and flawed. Even though he can look perfect on the outside, he could still appear flawed on the inside, which was what made him very realistic and even more lovable.

Overall, I couldn’t put the book down and I fully recommend this book. [I] can’t wait to read the [sequel] and find out what’s going on. Anyone who loves YA paranormal romance [should] pick up this book right now. 5 stars! - Trusty Page Turners

The world building in this story was strong. Cedar Falls is so insular that it can be incredibly difficult for outsiders to feel welcomed there. The idea of a small town being suspicious of new people and resistant to change is a stereotype, of course, but Ms. Beck fleshed out why this particular community behaves this way so well that I never felt like anyone was being pigeonholed. The reasons provide so much fodder for plot development that Cedar Falls felt like a real place to me. Frostbitten introduced me to a world that I wish I could visit again. This is a good choice for anyone in the mood for a fun, paranormal romance. - Long and Short Reviews

Frostbitten has lots of atmosphere, with its cold winter setting and the eerie yet seductive beauty of the Canadian wilderness. The action and paranormal elements are well done, and I liked the folklore foundation for the story...Overall, Frostbitten is a good young adult paranormal novel. The feelings between Anastasia and Frost seemed genuine, and I liked them as a couple...I think readers who enjoy young adult paranormal romance will like this book. - The Hope Chest Reviews

Frostbitten is a well-written paranormal story...Ms. Beck has done a great job of creating an engaging world with two main characters; plus good supporting characters [that] keep the reader’s attention. I would like to see more from this world. 4 stars! - Night Owl Reviews

Beck’s descriptions walk that fine line between intricate and vague. They are very vivid and bring this world to life in a big way while still allowing enough room for readers to imagine their way into it. Beck’s intricate and approachable writing style really drew me in. The small town feel to the novel invites you in as much as the author’s smooth & polished writing does. I loved the Canadian content of this novel and the fact that the author doesn’t try to ‘Americanise’ it to cater to audiences. It was very promising to see an author sticking to their roots. This very exciting story also has a great deal of underlying turmoil faced by many of those who attend high school and especially transfer students. It adds an extra layer of reality to the story, allowing readers to really connect with it.

Beck’s flair for the dramatic in her writing style really draws you in to the world of the main character. The sense of everything taking on a large dose of importance based on the beliefs of a 17year old is really remarkable. It not only allows readers to connect with her, but it brings us back in time to when we were that age, allowing us to remember how we would have reacted. The sense of mystery and the unknown surrounding a couple of the characters really had me hooked. The single-mindedness of others really puts you in the small town mentality, hitching the suspense of the novel up a notch.

I was completely entranced by this story. I couldn’t convince myself to put it down long enough to go refill my coffee. Beck’s originality combines with her captivating storytelling in an unforgettable manner. Paranormal readers of all ages will enjoy this adventure. 5 stars! - Pure Jonel

Frostbitten has all of the elements that make a great paranormal romance! There's an amazing romance, well thought out characters, enthralling descriptions, and werewolves! The descriptions are what really drew me into this story. They are so rich and welcoming that you cannot help but be absorbed.

Frost definitely has a bad boy edge, but he redeems himself over the course of this book! Anastasia is a bit on the dramatic side, but I enjoyed her nonetheless. Her and Frost make an excellent pairing, though. I really liked being able to follow their relationship as the story went on.

Heather Beck really has proved that she's an excellent writer with Frostbitten. The story line was developed and inviting. It's a beautiful story full of promise for Heather Beck's future writing endeavors! If you're a paranormal romance fan, I think you'll love Frostbitten! 4 stars! - Pretty Little Pages

A nicely written novel by Heather Beck. Recommended for Teen/YA readers 14 yrs and up as well as anyone else who enjoys a romance novel with werewolves. [This book has] a nice pace throughout, likable characters, vivid descriptions that pull the reader in, a very good story-line and plot that will keep you reading non-stop. The novel contains all the elements we love for a good summer read: blossoming teen romance, conflict, some drama, twists in the plot, and a handsome hero!! I look forward to reading the next book in this series! 4 stars! - Author, A.S. Johnson

Frostbitten was a story that I just fell in love with! It shows a realistic view of high school, and a character that is strong enough to put her head up, and get through it. It's a refreshing read, one where the character isn't whiney, depressed, or paranoid throughout the book. One where the two characters have an obvious connection and there is no playing hard to get and chasing each other. This is a story that I would recommend to all my friends! Thank you for writing it. You rock! - 5 stars! - Julia (Courtesy of GoodReads)

I loved this book! I liked how the author pointed out the cliches of high school and how well-developed each character was, shaping the story into something incredible. Most of all, the romance was something to look forward to! It was neither too fast nor too slow to develop, which seems to be the problem in some YA novels. And even though it's forbidden in the beginning, they somehow found a way around it without hurting anyone much. The atmosphere and setting of the whole story was written just right to suit the story and the way the characters interacted seemed so realistic that it was easy to lose yourself in the story and imagine you're in their shoes actually witnessing the events.

The characters are also something! I love Anastasia's decision-making skills and how she tries to be a better person than her old one. She grew up a lot throughout the whole novel. Her stubbornness and courage can be overwhelming, and I can't help but hold my breath as these things about her create suspense.

Then there's the hot and sizzling Frost. I love how Frost isn't the typical jerk in most YA novels, despite hiding something deep and dark inside him. The way he was portrayed was very human-like. He's gentle, sweet, caring, and flawed. Even though he can look perfect on the outside, he could still appear flawed on the inside, which was what made him very realistic.

The other characters were also interesting. They all added to the suspense and numerous twists that could be found throughout the novel. What I loved most about this is that the twists never end and would always leave you wanting for more answers. This novel could put you on the edge until the very end. Even the ending was a cliffhanger, which made me wanting for more. Therefore, I would give this five stars. This is a truly amazing novel! - Lyra (Courtesy of GoodReads)

I love the cover!!!!! I loved this book! Many times [when] I read a book, I have an idea as to where the author is going with the story. I must say that I couldn't predict where Heather Beck was going and not because of the writing, it was because she created a level of suspense and intrigue that made you excited to flip to the next page. Beck took a werewolf story and added some unanticipated twists along the way, truly making it her own and unique. I hope Beck doesn't keep us waiting too long for the next part! 5 stars! - Heather (Courtesy of GoodReads)

Although the story is a young adult fantasy (the author does a fantastic job of keeping it clean!), it held my attention from start until finish. The main characters were well developed, the plot moves along at a good pace, and the author leaves just enough questions unanswered to make the reader want to dive into the next book. Let's hope there is another planned. 5 stars! - Kassandra (Courtesy of GoodReads)

The gorgeous cover is what caught my attention and I've not really read anything about werewolves, but this book did not disappoint! The plot was well developed and to some degree realistic. It wasn't just about a forbidden love but was more focused on the society where the wolf lives itself. The love story kind of blossomed from there, and wasn't rushed or anything. It was perfectly paced and wasn't too much so as to divert the reader from the plot.

I absolutely adore that the boy's name is Frost. It's just so unique, but it also gives a new pun to the title which is kind of awesome! Frost was just so sweet and real. Of course he was prone to his moments of anger but still I thought it was really sweet how he'd place roses and notes in Anastasia's locker every day. As for Anastasia, I really liked her. She was determined to make Frost understand that she wasn't afraid of what he was. She was just loyal to him and never doubted him.

Of course from the beginning of the story there is a kind of suspense. As the book went along I'd just dismissed it as a dream but then there was that strange meeting with Kate's grandma and that just brought on a whole lot of questions. I'm super excited to see what's revealed in the sequel. Because even though the first book had a beautiful ending, I know we aren't done with Frost and Anastasia yet! 4.5 stars! - Kariny (Courtesy of GoodReads)

The cover of this book is very cool! Anastasia moves back to Cedar Falls and has to live with her mother’s past reputation. She is instantly drawn to a gorgeous boy by the name of Frost. This is a wonderful young love story that just happens to have mystery, intrigue, and of course, werewolves winding through it. Who doesn’t love a good werewolf story? The story has a lot going on and a bit of suspense as well. I loved the ending and it definitely sets up a second book in a series. I recommend this book to YA everywhere. 4 stars! - Barb (Courtesy of GoodReads)

I absolutely loved this book. It stood on its own and didn't have to rely on 'teenage angst and the world will end if they don't stay together kind of nonsense'. Anastasia is a normal kid making good grades and keeping steady friends until that one day in high school that all of us "good kids" remember vividly. The day we no longer have friends just because we are a good student...

For being studious is just not enough in high school. You have to act, live, take, give, or just plain be more. Your old friends tend to disappear and one day you wake to find yourself wandering the hallways alone. Popularity is such a hard road to travel, so why not take the easy road with the other outcasts? Well, that's what Anastasia does and she soon finds herself in unknown territory. Skipping classes, unfinished homework, fights with her mother, and finally a train ride to her grandparents' house.

At this point, Anastasia is consumed by her hormones, an unwilling passenger on a roller coaster of emotions. With everyone saying "her mom doesn't want her" or "why couldn't she have just tried a little harder", she is left wondering whether her grandparents will be able to deal with all her issues and love her at the same time. Anastasia is determined that she's gonna prove everyone wrong and be successful this time around.

She can't wait to see her old friend Chloe again. It will be nice to actually know someone at her new school! As soon as Anastasia enters the lunchroom on her first day, all her hopes are dashed! It's not just gonna be the two best friends anymore. Apparently Chloe has not only become popular, but she is best buds with the one girl at the school that can't stand Anastasia.

Anastasia can barely keep track of all she's juggling when she runs into Frost. He is unlike any boy/man Anastasia has ever encountered. It is truly love at first sight for her. So, what happens when Frost turns out to be more than he seemed? Will Anastasia run, or will her love for him weather the storm and remain until it clears?! I loved this book and am hoping that this will be just the first in an amazing series! - Amberly (Courtesy of GoodReads)

Frostbitten was a fun book to read. It kept me engaged and was really well-written. I really liked the storyline. Frost was a lot different than most guy characters in books and I think that’s why I liked him so much. I also liked how strong of a character Anastasia was. When Kate was acting like any stereotypical popular high schooler, Anastasia didn't back down or give up – she just kept going. I think this characteristic also helped with her relationship with Frost (which I loved!). I also liked the fact that it was forbidden love and we were always on edge about if they were going to [get] caught. Once again, this book was written beautifully, and I can’t wait for there to be a second one in this series. - Abby (Lovers of Paranormal)

A quick book, full of feels. There is that underlying theme of “friendship and first love”, knowing who your true friends are and fighting for what you believe in. Parents aren’t always right, but they will do almost anything for their children. It’s heartwarming, and this book is perfect as a winter read. 4 stars! - Sharlene Says

Frostbitten by Heather Beck was a good read that was written well. What I really liked about this novel was Frost. He was a great hero who was caring and protective of Anastasia. I also liked all the twist and turns in the plot, the action, and even the slight cliff-hanger in the end. Overall, this was a good book and I recommend it if you’re looking for a nice young adult paranormal novel. 4 stars! - Arys (Courtesy of GoodReads)

I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I enjoyed the writing style of the author, she gives enough details so that you can "see" the characters in your mind’s eye without going on and on with nothing but description. I was pleasantly surprised at how engaging the story was. After I opened the book, I hardly stopped reading until I was finished. The book has an excellent introduction to the characters, while still allowing enough mystery to maintain the intrigue.

Anastasia, a troubled teen, is very easy to relate to between her easy intelligence, longing to fit in with the popular crowd, all while battling her internal angst. Almost any teenager has been through something similar to at least one of the trials she goes through throughout the novel, and so it is easy to feel anger at the injustices that she encounters.

The book has a good lead up and climax to the plot line. There are sufficient events, that raise your expectation and the climax of the novel does not fail to deliver. I can't wait to see where this author goes from here! 4 stars! - Julie (Courtesy of GoodReads)

The description of the small town made me feel like I was there with the deep woods and lots of snow. I do love cliffhangers, so I look forward to the next book :) Every young girl wants to be loved and this story shows you what real love can be like - not the usual high school love. The story keeps your attention and makes you care about the characters. It makes you keep reading because you want to know what the next page is going to reveal. You know a story is good when you start caring [about] what happens to its characters. This book was well written and I look forward to reading the author's other works. 4 stars! - Purfectcom2 (Courtesy of GoodReads)

Awesome book!!! Very creative and imaginative. I haven't read a teen werewolf story in a while and this one increased my thirst for more! I hadn't read this author before, but she did an excellent job. I look forward to next book in series and also to other books by this author. I stayed up until almost 8am reading this story & was so hooked, I finally had to put it down so I could sleep, leaving less than 10% of the book remaining. I would highly recommend this book to those who like teen/ya paranormal romances. I would also recommend this author as she seems to have a lot of potential. 4 stars! - Shelley (Courtesy of GoodReads)

I loved this book. I couldn't believe how amazing it was. Ms. Beck is truly a magnificent author, she writes so passionately and with so much care. You are able to feel what the characters are feeling; their love, their confusion, their astonishment, their fear, their compassion, all of it. You can connect with the characters, you can become them. Ms. Beck writes so vividly that you can play the scenes out in your head and you can feel all the different emotions. I think the moral of this story is that love concurs all as long as you let it. The feelings between Frost and Anastasia are undeniable and are amazing. You learn a lot from this book, you learn that love can concur all, you learn that fear and paranoia can make people do drastic things, you learn that in order to figure out who your true friends are you need to first let others abandon you. Frostbitten is a superb book with a great tale to tell. Read this book and you will thoroughly enjoy it. 5 stars! - Marcey (Courtesy of GoodReads)

Heather Beck creates a solid plot that draws the reader in, constantly wanting to learn more about Frost and the relationship between him and Anastasia. Beck challenges the preconceived ideas of werewolves and adds twists to refresh a fairly saturated genre. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. 4 stars! - Rebecca (Courtesy of Lovers of Paranormal)

There is nothing I enjoy more than a well written YA paranormal romance story, especially when it has a really great plot-line to match. Here’s how the story goes; Anastasia is a young troubled teenage girl who is sent to a town in the middle of nowhere to live with her grandparents in order to rehabilitate but little does she know that where she is going is anything but quiet and she may be up for her biggest adventure yet.

I loved the consistency of the book, be it with the characters or the developing of the story-line. It shows that an author has a keen eye for detail when everything flows so well to the point where it only takes you an hour and a half to read the whole thing because you can’t put it down.

I am excited for the sequel and I am keeping my eyes open for ‘Heather Beck’s’ future works! 5 stars! – Rapid Reviewer

Those of you who follow my reviews will know that I am not a fan of werewolf stories. Heck, even Shiver was a hard sell for me. So I picked up Frostbitten with some trepidation. But I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, I couldn’t put it down. I finished this book in a day (that’s a sure sign of a winner in my experience).

Anastasia Lockhart is a character that is appealing to the reader. And Frost, with a bit of an odd name, is a surprisingly endearing hero. In fact, one of Beck’s great strengths as a writer is her ability to create characters that are believable and real.

The timing and pacing of the action parts swept me away as a reader and immersed me in the story from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this to readers, especially if you are a supernatural lover! 4 stars - Cathi Shaw Book Reviews

This was the most entertaining book I've read this year. It almost made me cry near the end due to something emotional. Throughout the book, it was extremely entertaining, and I would read it over and over again due to the great romance between the two main characters. I think that other readers will find this book extremely great, and I would recommend this to other book lovers and friends. - N Banton's Book Reviews

This is a well-written novel with interesting characters. The teens are typical high school kids with the attitudes that go along with their age. The woods are described so well that the reader feels as though they are somewhere within the labyrinthine interior with Frost and Anastasia. Several questions arise throughout the novel, however, that are never addressed. Julia says she knows who Anastasia is, then drops the subject. Anastasia ponders the question, but there is no forward progression as to finding out the answer to the riddle. This is a piece that really makes the reader think, because everyone in the story is keeping their own tragic secrets, and not all of them are revealed. Fans will have to patiently wait for the remainder of the series to come out to find out more. - InD’tale Magazine
