There are a lot of twists and turns throughout the stories so it’s always a surprise, especially at the end. As for the characters, they are believable and make the story relatable. When I read Haunted, it brought back memories of my childhood. You know the ones about a creepy house that all your friends dare you to go into or perhaps you were told one of the local urban legends that kept you up at night. Haunted held that essence of creepy within its pages. Five short stories filled with fantasy, legend, and horror and written in a fun and fast pace that will appeal to readers of all ages. Some of these stories reminded me of the old adage “No good need goes unpunished.” I think the cover is stunning. I also love that while it is simplistic it speaks volumes to the theme of the book. From the ominous dark clouds, the creepy old house, to the ghost girl. Sometimes less is more and in this case it works nicely. Creepy and compelling without all the visual gore. – Escape Between The Pages

For a middle grader, Haunted would be classed scary enough to be called a horror. These stories are brilliant for easily introducing children to such stories. They are easy to read and simply worded. I enjoyed reading them. My favorite story was The Manor On The Rocks. It was a scary read and I am 24! So if you’re in your early teens or looking for some fun, easy reading this book is for you! – Secret Lives Of Fiction Lovers
